Gold Standard is a concept I developed for a luxury brand of cannabis flower, concentrates and infused edible products.

My Contributions

I developed the Gold Standard concept, name, branding and packaging designs for a proposal to a client that was never taken to production.

The cannabis industry has a history and stigma of hippies, tie-dye, free love, and Cheech and Chong. With Gold Standard, I set out to elevate that image and create a brand of cannabis products that appeal to a different market. Product concepts include cannabis infused olive oil, honey and a gold bar shaped box with a window viewer for cannabis flower.

Display concepts not pictured. Display concepts included a glass display box which includes one cannabis flower set on top of a ring which is used as a sniffer sample in dispensaries. Also in the concept is a lighted display "vault" which would have the products neatly stacked inside like gold bars, allowing them to stand out from the competition.

While working on Gold Standard, I designed the logo along with multiple packaging designs and display concept prototypes. The client ultimately decided not to proceed with the Gold Standard brand concept.
